Parker's 3rd Birthday

Yesterday was Parker's birthday and we had a house full. Thanks to all that could make it, we had a good time: Papa, Nana, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Jeff, Jordan, Pepa, Mema, Great Grammy, Aunt Kimmy, Isabell, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Travis, Olivia, Alex and Katie (the neighbor). He got alot of cool presents and want to thank you all for them. He loves his new bean bag, camera, clothes, walkie-talkie, games, dinosaur webkin, desk and the counted every dollar all by himself.

This has been a hard last couple months for the both of us with alot of adjustments, but with the love and support of family it has made it easier day by day. Thank you all for helping make his day special.

He was reading his own cards, it was really comical.

My very first attempt to make a "real" cake for his birthday !

2010

A new year, a new beginning, a new life beginning!!

I have had a hard time updating my blog because of my tornado of a life it's been the last couple months. As some may or may not know Parker is going to be a big brother this summer. The excited feeling is starting to come day by day. I am excited to be a mom again, of course! But the situation is not the greatest. Parker and I are moving up to Bay City to live with Stephanie and Travis. It will be a good change for our life, but a scary one too. I'm becoming a single mom and that is not something that I ever prepared myself for. Of course no one does, but something VERY hard to accept. I have the greatest support from my family and friends of course and can't express the appreciation enough to all of them. It's going to be a long, hard road but God as my captain he will drive me in the direction that I need to go. I just pray that Parker will adjust to this ok. Alex and Olivia are the best cousins in the world to him, so it won't be too hard I'm sure cause he will be so busy having someone to play with everyday. And Aunt Stephanie is great too always keeping him happy and Uncle Travis makes him go to bed when mommy is a pushover :)

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change. The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

I strive every day to give Parker the best life I can and to grow up to be a strong christian boy. My prayer today is to keep giving me the strength to keep going everyday even when my heart is aching for my kids and a happy life.

2010 will be a better year! How can it not with another baby entering my life. My heart will be overwhelmed with the love of my 2 children.

Baby Bell

Parker and I went down to Kim's to visit awhile ago and spent the day with her and baby Bell. We went to her dr. appt then ventured out for lunch. By the restaurant is the mall which has a cool play area for the kids. Parker loved it and burnt off some energy before nap time.

Crazy, busy life

Well life as we all know it at the Monaghan house is always busy and on the go. We closed on the house last week and will be moving the end of this week. We are moving to Holt and just renting a place for about a year until we figure out where we want and need to be. We have started to attend a new church in Holt about a month ago and absolutely love it. Parker and I have been attending the Refresh (MOPS) program every other Thursday and play dates. Brian has been busy working 6 days a week. Kayla was home this weekend as we were busy with Kristi and Jeff's engagement party, Alexs birthday party and pumpkin carving. We had a great weekend to be able to relax as next weekend and this week will be busy with moving....again.

Life on my roller coaster

We moved into our house in March and now we are looking at moving again. We put the house up for sale about a month ago and it is SOLD. Well they are doing the inspection today:( Did think it would sell that fast or I was hoping it wouldn't. So we are looking at moving in about a month. Life has changed so much in the last couple months some things for the better and some things, well only time will tell. I have learn to put all my trust and faith in God this last year. I have learned not to doubt him and lean on him. My daily prayer has become the Serenity Prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference......

He had to help with everything.....then time to chow down on some watermelon

OK so I have been reminded several times to update my blog, but don't find the time lately. Parker and I went to my sisters this weekend to spend time with her and go to the airshow on the base that her and her husband work at. He is such a big helper and getting so big.
